Colon cancer is one of the leading causes morbidity and mortality throughout world. Some most common presenting signs are a change in bowel habits, alteration fecal contour or consistency, blood stool, fatigue, weight loss. However, it may present insidiously. This case an 81-year-old female with Clostridium septicum bacteremia as primary sign metastatic colon cancer. In further literature review, we discuss genomic associations that contribute to severity disease explore potential links between gut microbiome colorectal carcinoma. article highlights risk factor modifications lab abnormalities be useful for care provider acute practitioner.
